Hmm. TMJ's a hard one. Try this, it may help if it's muscular more than joint (which is often the case). Take your index finger and run it up along the gum line, pressing up into the soft pocket of the cheek. You're feeling for any sore spots. They might be very, very sore to the touch, or only slightly. Just hold or rub until the soreness goes away. Do this along the gums and molar pockets as well.

(Before you do this, see how many fingers fit vertically between your open front teeth. Check again after to see if it's improved.)
