Okay...I think I'm going to do this to get these people in my head a little bit more. Feel free to agree/disagree/comment.

Going to start w/ Scorpius because for some reason he's poking my brain to do this. So here goes.

Scorpius is a very interesting character though I actually find it disappointing how one-dimensional he is presented. Granted, I loved Incubator, it was a very nice look at what created the character we know. But I would have liked to have seen a little bit more of how Scorpius really dealt w/ being a part of Peace-keeper society. I mean, here is an individual that will never belong or fit in in either of his parents' worlds. He was an object to study for the Scarrans and hated them because of it. Despite being allowed to raise in the ranks in Peacekeeper hierarchy, he'd never fit or be accepted --- he was part scarran, a half breed, and well, had a face that only a mother could love. Yet he managed to inspire loyalty in several of his followers, most notably Braca. How did he deal w/ his place or lack of place in society? How did he get other Sebaceans to ignore their breeding and stoop to work for him (because I do feel that Braca's loyalty goes beyond how far he could rise in the ranks)?

Obviously Scorpius must have directed most if not all of his frustrations into his efforts to stop the Scarrans. He became his mission because that was all that life allowed him. He had no choice really other than possibly going off to try to start a business or something in Tormented Space or Uncharted Territories --- and even there he'd always be looked down on most likely due to his Scarran half.

And his followers -- Braca and then the blonde woman that I believe died at some point. Was it all duty? Or what was the point at which it went beyond duty and into true loyalty as it must have for Braca...How else could one explain going through all he did w/ Grayza?

I've seen quite a few fics out there that sort of touch on what Scorpy ends up doing after PKWars -- generally they have him assuming a diplomatic position...but somehow I don't think he'd fit well that way. Granted, the man is a great spy, but I think the ineffectualness of being a diplomat would get to him. Diplomats have little true power in my view -- they are always pushing someone else's agenda. After pursuing his own agenda relentless for over 3-5 years if not a lot more, could Scorpy really step back and become the puppet? I have my doubts. His largest fault is thinking that he knows best and that his way is the only way. He has tunnel vision as well in that he never considers other alternatives. Not necessarily a good thing for a diplomat despite what the Bush administration may have you believe.

Granted, the Nebari threat does still lurk on the horizon, so maybe that would take up his attention. Still, Scorpy is definitely one of the most pitiful characters in Farscape in that no matter what happens, he'll never fit in, he'll never garner any amount of fulfillment beyond what his obsession is. Granted, maybe it would be enough to be able to know how much of a hand he had in helping/forcing John to demonstrate the Wormhole Weapon.

Anyway...just some idle thoughts on one of the characters that has probably occurred to many of ya. We'll see if I can do anything else coherent about the rest.

That's an interesting point. I haven't honestly considered what everyone is doing post-PK Wars, but I know Scorpius must be restless. He has been so focused for so many years (not even just the past 3-5, but for longer than that - his whole life in a way), and now he must be at odds and ends. I'm sure he would have to find something, like the Nebari threat, to devote himself towards.

I don't completely agree that he's one-dimensional, however. I feel he's a layered character, but he has a one-track mind, a single, overwhelming desire.
