Not in my head....
Sep. 26th, 2011 07:03 pmA few weeks back, I remember MSM having articles/reports claiming that the effects of caffeine are just all in your head for the majority of people.
I am not one of these people. I have very little experience with downers, but I know I'm exquisitely sensitive to the effect of uppers (only experience really being caffeine and pseudophedrine - in legal forms only), and my body gains dependence very quickly.
Case in point, my caffeine withdrawal migraine last monday after forgetting that I'd been having 2-3 cups of coffee and tea per day during vacation.
Next case in point: head felt up to starting the claritin D step down program since there was no weather front movement today.
There's nothing like the combination of physical lethargy combined with mental lethargy as well as ADD. It's truly unique. And tea was not even beginning to cut through the fog. So very little accomplished at work today.
Will probably take tomorrow as I should hopefully be able to forestall the final withdrawal migraine to next weekend if I put myself on every other day between now and then. And need to remember to take extra coffee to work on my "off" days.
This concludes another post wherein I hope I've made you feel lucky that you don't have my physiology. As well as demonstrate why I've never remotely considered recreational pharmaceuticals.
ION, I know what I'll be doing during the christmas holiday, assuming I'm not in DC for any of it. Preordered the star wars mmrpg today. Here's hoping it's just as good as the original kotor. (which is the only reason I really miss my xbox 360 on occassion.)
