Bear Insomnia

I bet this wasn't expected. How bout we fly out some non-climate change believers out to observe?

Bah, I can't wait for this week to be over so that I can actually wake up again. I'd also like the random lj friending script to finally be forgotten into obscurity. Rather funny that it keeps happening to this journal only and not my free ljs. Bah.

The fact that I have only six months left on my lease here continues to amaze and terrify me. Gilmore Girls really hit home w/ me more than I'd like this week. I hate the flail I go through every transitional period. My boss seems "happy" with me again, that or she had a really good trip. She does refuse to forget about the fraking POINTLESS experiment, so I'm going to have to suck it up and do it. Really though, aren't there better uses of my time than reproving something that has already been published 50 ways from sunday??????? Gah. I think I'm going to go ahead and put the order in today for the reagent needed to make the experiment clean (esp since I don't think I need her signature). If I have to do it, might as well do it right. *bangs head*

Hanging around till approximately 10:15 to see if I was confused yesterday about showing the apartment. If the folks come after that window, sorry so sad.

Flyleaf's (a newish band) cd may be a bit repetitive, but the lead singer's voice is shrill enough to block out ANY noise in the lab. Which is really wierd, I normally don't go for shrill, but it really works w/ the music. *shrugs*

Okay, I'm going to stop typing complete randomness and use the minimal wakefullness from the coffee to get off my ass now. Really.

I miss my axis of ev0l compatriot. Keep meaning to call her and then forgetting. May have to upload the icon that won't be named to just remind myself of our ev0lness.

Pretty much all over the place has done this

Sum up your former/current fandoms in a few sentences, as if they were human beings/very convincing sockpuppets on your flist. All of these are fandoms that I have written in. Guess which fandom I'm talking about!

oh boy...serial monogamy here, babes )

I think those are too easy myself.

Okay, I'm SOAKING WET. Is there a wet beyond soaking wet? This is like cat wet, seriously. Not good people.

So when I am in said state, I do not need to read news like this: Bush's appointee for Office of Family Planning is Dr. Erik Keroack who during a speech at the Annual Abstinence Leadership conference claimed sex causes people to go through oxytocin withdrawal which in turn prevents people from bonding in relationships. Feministing has more.

Whee, here comes Executive Privilege to shut down birth control and Roe v Wade.

Okay, here's the deal -- I'm going to be very very busy and am not sure I'll be able to do anything else. So let me be the first to wish [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster a very happy birthday next month by getting her mucho feedback via a birthday post at [livejournal.com profile] birthdayrecs

You can see it here.

I hope you have a fabulous day next month, dear. A lovely rest of the month wouldn't hurt either, eh?

I got to explain to B today the rules for caring for bras. Yeah, you heard me. :P When I said that the heat from dryers causes spandex to break down more rapidly, he was all, "why don't they change the material they make it out of so that doesn't happen?' He may be older, but apparently I found some naivety in him. And I probably spelled that all wrong. The spell checker on firefox 2.0 is probably going to destroy my spelling ability, y'all.

Laundry....tomorrow. My neck has been achy a tad since walking home in downpour. When trying to keep eyes from being poked out by driving rain and attempting to block it from flowing into my ear after my ear started aching halfway home, I found that it is very very hard to walk to w/ proper posture. Plus the fact that I wore my new ecco shoes to work today probably didn't help -- i don't think they have as much arch support as my danskos. Also, they managed to bruise the tops of my feet (thankfully not right by any joints though this time). I sooo need to find a flat footed best friend w/ my size feet. They would totally be hitting the jackpot.

So the plan is to collapse and sleep pretty much as long as my body insists on it and hope I wake up minus all achiness tomorrow. Then laundry and packing before I pick up the car at 3. Crap, my pda needs charging. I'll do that in the morning too.

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] inlovewithnight, I haven't forgotten the briefcase. Errr, point of fact, I forget about it every morning and night and then remember it when I'm sitting helpless at work. I'll probably mail it next week, but by parcel post (ie slowest that the post office has) so it shouldn't reach you till after thanksgiving.

Okay, bed is calling REALLY loudly now.
