Hey guys, I found the perfect site for when you get stumped for character names: Behind the Name

It even has a random name generator for all sorts of nationalities/cultures.

My brain is firmly in writing mode...which is not good as I have tons of work. On the other hand, for the first time in months, time seems to be ticking along at the proper pace. And no, I don't mean day by day, but rather hours not passing too slow or fast. I'm not exactly sure what that bodes, but it feels slightly off kilter since everything had been seeming to move in 3-4x my speed to process it lately. Like I've suddenly turned off fast forward. I know it's normal, but it seems odd to be "waiting" to go to sleep instead of looking at the clock and realizing I need to get my ass to bed since it's midnight.

Now if I could just get some control over my timeclock so that I can begin to operate at the "normal" hours of the day instead of this wacked out night owl thing that my body has done since figuring out my allergies (prior, I'd conk out at 10:30 pm like a switch had been hit. And after most meals). I thought all you night owl people were just plain wierd until I experienced it myself. But my body would much prefer to be awake from 9/10 am till 1 am. Sadly, only a single self employed person can operate like that in this world methinks.

Next up is Twin Regrets and the supernatural story that [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster wants and then I will again be free of sweet charity projects. Of course, finishing Twin Regrets is late by many months while I fought with Simon. And come next month, so will the second project. Ahh well. Me now knows that I suck at fulfilling writing requests in a prompt manner. This would be exactly why my only participation in holiday communities will be to mod [livejournal.com profile] uncharted_elves (which is open for business BTW. Subtle pimp, I know).

My mother is the poster child for this. Increased soda consumption correlates with low bone density in women.

I've become so religious with taking my vitamin D since all her fractures have happened.

omg, this documentary on pbs is so scary. It's about the role of evangelical christians in the debate on global warming. There is actually a branch of evangelicals that have woken up and accept the scientific evidence on global warming.

Cue the horns from Dobson and the Cromwell report ---> One of their spokesman stated something to the following: "Pollution is a part of natural life. The key is understanding how much is acceptable" --- dude, yes, we all excrete waste - but that's in the form of naturally occuring elements that are used by other beings. Nature can't use DDT, oil derivatives, etc.

He also says everything w/ relation to global warming and cooling are "god's will".

*beats head* science =/= atheism. science has never proven the existence or nonexistence of god. Anything science proves, only goes to how the world that your god created operates.

some facts on the newest attempt to paint Reid (D) with the scandal brush

siiiigh, if only the republican machine would put this much effort into a) governing, b) following the laws as they are already written, and c) oh, I don't know, listening to their Christian upbringing of love thy neighbor instead of throwing them in jail or invading their country.
