golden kiwi are definitely inferior to regular kiwi. There's none of the sweet/sour combo and absolutely no spicy kick to the seeds (which is my favorite thing about kiwi). Just a very inoffensive and light sweet that doesn't even compare to hardly anything except maybe a very bland orange. Just blaaah. Almost as blaaahy as avocado but without the sliminess. Definitely not a fan, but at least it won't be difficult to eat these before they go bad.
Now if I could just figure out a way to ensure that when I buy regular kiwi, they aren't ones that insist on staying toooo tart. ahh well.
