Please, karma, please let's not make this a theme.

Got home this evening to find that the fluorescent light in my kitchen is....falling off the ceiling.

Seriously, there's a good two inch gap between the left side and the ceiling, in the middle, I can see the whole where wires are coming down, but the right side is still attatched. I called it in around 2:30...If i don't hear anything by 3:15, I'm calling again. Cause dude, I soo don't need the thing to fall on me while I'm cooking/doing dishes or anything. Plus, I'm vaguely worried about turning the light on and I need the light!

And finally, I don't need it falling in the middle of the night again. Granted, last time (shortly after I moved in), it was only the plastic cover off of it, but it SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME.

Come to think of it, I heard an odd noise this morning as I was leaving .... hmmm.

*taps fingers waiting for maintenance dude*

Light is now firmly attatched to the ceiling.

However, the process took out what was remaining in the fluorescent lights.

I'm unclear on if the maintenance guy just went to get more lights or not. *scratches head* Especially given the hassle it was to get someone up here.

siiiigh.

ETA...I also got my fold up keyboard today for my pda. :) So if (and when) I do work at the library, I'll be able to at least type in word and such without taking the huge computer w/ me. :)

But i'm working now.
