The only bad thing about the rest of the day was missing all the hockey games. :( But we went to PF Changs for the first time in forever and I actually learned an interesting tidbit: I may not really be allergic to soy sauce after all. See, usually when I go to PF Chang's, I end up with a fun rash that lasts a couple of days...it takes a couple of hours to develop and is really small...just in the world's worst location. I attribute it to soy sauce since that's generally when it happens. However, I found out something very interesting --- despite not using MSG (which I loathe more than I can say ----- nothing gives me worse migraines in this world), they do apparently marinade ALL their meat in something that includes corn starch. *goggles* Now I know I've mentioned my allergy there before, but apparently no waiter has ever bothered to mention it to the cook till yesterday. I was lucky that it was at lunch because apparently they hadn't prepared all the meat for the day yet, so they were able to use some non-marinaded chicken for my dish (they claim they use the corn starch to prevent the meat from getting tough in the wok. This is a load of crap as I've cooked plenty of corn-less chicken via stir fry w/out the issue. Plus, they didn't seem to have it w/ mine yesterday). It was quite possibly the best ginger broccoli chicken I've had there and to boot, I really didn't have any problems all afternoon. I know normally, I do do the thing of where I get a little high off their food (corn) and then promptly get hungry w/in an hour and a half (corn again). That didn't happen this time. I do have a very very very very small rash, but I know that was from the appetizer of lettuce wraps that we didn't ask for anything special for because we were STARVING. But it's the smallest it's ever been and I'm betting that it will be gone by tomorrow instead of sticking around in various states of inflamed for the better part of a week.

We saw Thank You For Smoking ---- It was very very hilarious. And for a show that continuously exclaimed about how MAGNIFICENT Katie Holmes's character's tits were, you never saw a breast shot or even a sex scene in which she had her shirt unbuttoned...just ooodddd. But really, very funny movie - I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. Not quite Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but better than any of the other dren out.

Holy cow.......Okay, I really cannot wait for it to be tomorrow.

How is it that no one has recced these stories? How? I always figured Firefly would be ten thousand times harder to rec than Farscape, but here, I'm wrong. Very very very wrong.

And not a single story that I rec have an author that's been previously recced at all w/in the fandom. Amazing. Just wow.

Dear muse,

Please stop making me work on my own. Really.

so that odor that caused me to clean my bathroom from top to bottom.....I'm now fairly certain it's sewer gas from a clog somewhere in the building.

Which my mother oh so helpfully informed me is also flammable.

*bangs head*

Here's hoping the sketchy repair guys are decent at their jobs.

ETA...plus my WMP file keeps corrupting and telling me it needs to reinstall. Siiiiiiigh.

I am this close to becoming the unabomber, I swear. I have tried five different times to install WMP on my computer and each time it says it can't....except it shows up installed but won't run because it isn't installed right and asks to be reinstalled. But reinstalling won't work either. And you can't "uninstall" WMP at all since every time I turn that component off, the reinstall files will then say I have a later version of WMP.

WTF??? I wouldn't care, but I need WMP to change things on my mp3 player (no, not an ipod. Itunes won't work).

Gaaaaaah.

And I did do a defrag --- five fragged files fragged beyond repair after a full two weeks since reformat (or one? I forget). Three were system restore points, one a firefox temp file, and something else. I turned off system restore. Stupid thing never frakking works for me anyways and is more trouble than it's worth since it can reinstall viruses on you.

I really fucking hate computer. Really.

I didn't do laundry today or switch out my clothes for summer.....the thought of sewer smell in everything after all that work just kinda knocked the wind out of my sails. Soo, I didn't do much of anything other than lay around which probably resulted in my headache....I just wish it didn't come w/ the pulsing neck pain. I'll blame B for it just cause. :P Also feeling very achy and gross and all, but even if I'm getting sick, no incentive to stay home and smell sewer or deal w/ maintenance men. God, though, I hope they figure it out. I don't want to deal w/ this or have my apartment blow up due to the frigging weird flickering switch in my dressing area.

Also, muse is pissing me off because it refuses to work on anything I NEED to work on. At all. Just, grrrrrr.
