Currently this is a WIP, but I'm hooked so the rest of you need to suffer along with me:

Cast the first stone by [livejournal.com profile] nardasarmy

It's about sin eaters and a demon/spirit following the boys. nardasarmy does a wonderful job of fleshing out all the OCs and tantalizing you bit by bit with clues. I can't wait to see where the author takes it. To top off the plot and characters, the language is superb and the ease with which she uses it makes me jealous.

Go and read and wait with me for updates.

She has part 1 and two up currently.

I mean really, vacuums are so simplistic. Motor, suction, bag to catch the crap. The whole thing of the trash you suck up passing through important motor parts withstanding.

But really, who disliked the bags of vacuums? It hid how much filth you'd let accumulate. I've never had a bag rip or pop open..and if it did, easy peasy to vacuum it back up. What was the problem? Really?

Obviously, I'm pissed as hell that after the death of my old reliable vacuum late last year, I was forced to purchase the "bagless" wonders that were the only thing available at Target. And I hate it!!!!

Emptying it out is a hassle and has the peril of spreading dust and dirt and god knows what all over your floor. Not to mention into your lungs. Top it off that they don't come w/ replacement filters and that thing gets gunked up amazingly fast in just a once over of my itty bitty place (mona, pt, sixersfan, you know how little real estate I have). I can't imagine using it for an entire home. It would be full after one moderately sized room.

Really, what was the damage? Or is this a ploy to sell more product? I can see the filters (that I've never seen on a shelf in a store, mind you) flying off the shelves much faster than the old roomy bags. I can see bagged vacuums making a reapearance in a couple of years and people flocking to buy them to replace the old ones.

Maybe it's a conspiracy to make us all wish we were rich enough to have housekeepers.

[livejournal.com profile] matociquala linked this lovely post/encouragement that [livejournal.com profile] mrissa posted in answer to a question about how to get back into the swing of writing after starting college. It actually applies to any funk in writing-fu and actually just lovely advice on how to be a good person:)

Go and read.

In other news, I finally downloaded semagic again even though I'm sure my computer will be wiped on monday cause well...I can't remember how to spell everyone's lj user names. That and I'm addicted to having all my tags in the little tag box for reference rather than opening another window to figure out what to put in.

It's official..my hotmail account is dead and gone. I hadn't checked it in forever, but I couldn't remember my zappos password (or user name for that matter) so I thought to go and check it...except I know I don't remember my hotmail password because it truly has been that long and went to ask it to email me my password to one of my backup emails. Which would clearly be one of two, but more likely one. An hour later, no email from hotmail.

ergo, RIP stacey_garrett at hotmail.

Not that it will be missed but it's kind of a milestone. My first dead free email account. Granted, I've had two other email accounts die but those were institutional ones that died upon graduation (and gods, do I long for the day when I can say I've had three do that).

Productive day...I suppose I should get back to my odd cleaning spree. Not that it isn't long overdue or anything, but yeah, you know.

Inside scripts!!!!

I might not be able to watch the torrents yet, but this is something. *hurries to download and copy to cd before Talyn does something bad*

I just read through Aidan and Little Girl Lost of the Inside scripts. And wow, so good even without having seen the episodes. So much better than Criminal Minds or any of the other law/crime procedurals out there. This has me so excited (and worried) to see what Tim does with Drive. Hopefully it will burn just as bright but for a little longer.

And there better not be any dancing shows airing opposite it. *growls*

First sighting of blue screen of death. And computer is still strangely slow all day today. Oh well, turned off all the power options other than system standby. Just one more day, Talyn, one more day.

In other news, HOCKEY ON NETWORK TV!!!!!! *is ecstatic* Rangers and Devils tied one-one. Out of respect for [livejournal.com profile] sixersfan, I won't mention who I am rooting for.

A/N: This bunny originated with [livejournal.com profile] ignipes's story, Remnant of an Original Craziness We Can Hardly Remember I told her I wondered what John Winchester's parents thought about the way the kids grew up and that took root in my brain. I can't see a four year old taking care of an infant and I can't see John dragging an infant into danger or leaving him with sitters for days on end. So this is my explanation. Feedback welcome.
