Twin Regrets Ch9 - Farscape/Firefly - WIP

Yes, yes, it's finally the chapter I've been tormenting you with. No hurting the betas---they actually did a very quick turnaround for me. I was just very tired of this chapter because I'd been playing it in my head for about two months trying to get the scenes to flow right before the muse took me by the hand and told me how it was supposed to go. He enjoys seeing me flail. Really.

Props go to mona1347 and poisontaster, who also graced me with her lovely talent. All mistakes that remain are my own and were probably flagged by one of them :P but missed by moi. Really.

Standard disclaimers apply -- I own nothing, but they are just so shiny I can't leave them alone. Rated teen for onscreen violence.

Warning: Farscape/Firefly xover. Spoilers for Farscape through "Infinite Possibilities" (season 3) and it's AU from the ending of that same episode. Firefly -- most likely spoilers for the entire Fox season. No spoilers for the movie, Serenity. If you haven't seen one or the other, the story should still be understandable. I'm doing my best to incorporate backstory as I go.

Okay, I'm beginning to think I was hit w/ several massive power surges or have been kidnapped by aliens during the weekend.

Now my cell phone is fried. Refuses to turn on or anything. And it was fine this morning--unplugged it after recharging it. Turned it off because I hadn't in a while and then turned it back on....thought it turned on fine.

Except, dead now. Deader than a doornail.

I've never had a cell phone DIE on me.

The new bunny does not seem to be cooperating length wise. Nor is he or the muse letting me into the larger arc. They are feeding me scenes though, so I won't complain (loudly anyways).

6 pages so far. I knew there was a reason I was avoiding this thing for months.

Hmm, maybe I can strangle this bunny down to size after all. And why does my muse insist on telling me perfect scenes when I have no ability to copy them down? Darn tease.

Phone still under warranty....but the battery and charger aren't. But the repair line is sending me a new phone soooo....I get to hope that a) it comes with a battery and charger or b) that the battery and charger of my old phone aren't the problem. The first person I talked to did point out that the charger could just be fouled and the phone won't work because it's dead. And I was getting a low battery warning on friday when I plugged it in. And the phone was strangely warm on saturday when I unplugged it, but the battery indicator was full before I turned it off. All of which I neglected to tell the replacement guy when I got him on the phone :) No sense in blowing his mind, right? Cause dude, he was having a hard enough time remember that I couldn't power my phone on no matter how many times his manual told me to have it do so. But he didn't force me to take my charger and phone to a store to be checked out, so *crosses fingers*

So yeah, anyone who has my cell phone number, you probably won't be able to reach me this week if you needed/wanted to.

Saw this on inlovewithnight's journal and sadly, the few characters I know were already done by the time I saw it. So I figured, what the hey. Might as well give you guys something to procrastinate on RL with, right? So here's my imitation of a lemming.
