Hoooooottttttt. I know, you guys are just as sick of me saying that as I am of it being true. Still. Shouldn't be sweating like I've just worked out after eating breakfast. Though I am going to do a short workout. :P

Very bad today and am putting off going in to work. Yesterday put me in a tail spin with regard to how I feel about work and I'm just having a hard time shaking it off, though it should be easier than this. Really, in the grand scheme, not that bad except for the dread for the weekend. Ah well, at least when it's over, I'll get to a house that is less than sweltering.

Crossover rec for crackvan done. The other rec I wanted to do, well...probably not so much. While it wasn't directly recced, it was listed when someone recced a sequel to it (though the sequel was by another author). If I get hard up for things, I'll check w/ the mods.

Okay, enough whining. Time for some lunges and squats and demonstrating exactly how fricking out of shape I am. [livejournal.com profile] azuremonkey, did you find that gym card?

Apartment hunting when you are almost depressed anyways.

Sooo not a good thing. I can't believe how much prices have gone up...yes, my rent has been going up also, but it's amazing to see what happens to the prices outside your lease. Gaaah. Anything that I'd want is about 950....to get less than that, I'd have to go w/ the devil of Philadelphia Management...no way, no how.

Man, I wish I could see a way to get the hell out of here before my lease expires, but I can't. And somehow, I know I'll be screwed beyond belief if I attempt to wait that long to find a place. Especially since there will be everyone else in this building doing the EXACT same thing.

ETA man, after seeing reviews of some of the places I was considering, I'm thinking that the wait and see and then rent from B's friend outside the city might be better. Even if I'm having to do public transport out to the ass crack of Wilmington, probably end up being same expense.

Really, there's no reason for the mac IE to screw w/ the LJ like it does. Ah well, it's functional at least.

Yes, you can infer that I finally made it to work. And I seriously need to remember that the days when there's a chance of rain and I put off going to work only ensures that the rain will begin at some point during my walk. At least I'm not hot anymore. *smirk*

I think I totally figured out how to answer one of the questions the committee had on the way to work though. And it shouldn't be too hard to do. *crosses fingers*

Also, really, I wish we lived in the world of House. In reality, there is no way that a medical fellow or even doctor knows how to run the tests they talk about (at least the lab-based ones. Heck, even on TV, they can't even pronounce ELISA correctly. Okay, yes, I know, we in science actually butcher that when we say it, but scientists all over the world say it the same way, so we win). These are things that go through my brain as I watch the new medical fellow be taught very very basic things. Trust me, you don't want doctors to actually run your lab tests. You only want them to interpret the results (and then, only sometimes).

That's my fandom meta thought for the day. Now then, off to work on all the busy work I've been letting slide for the past several months.

ETA -- ridiculous, the mac even screws up LJ's time settings.

Sony's Uninstall leaves computers open to more problems

and

Microsoft to release update to remove Sony malware from affected computers

So basically, if you've been bitten by the affected Sony discs, leave it on your computer until the window's fix is released.

AICN review of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang because I know I'm not always eloquent in this kind of stuff.

If you have to, go read the review. If you care about me and trust my taste at all, GO WATCH THE MOVIE NOW!!! I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Gaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I've figured out why I've never ever ever like Inara/Mal. I can't write their snark at all!!!! Not one little bit.

why does a show that messes me up so bad have to be so good?

Seriously, you have no clue how much I HATE suspenseful horror stuff....most horror stuff in general. Supernatural is really killing me tonight. Most nights, there's enough cheese to be okay...but I so could not watch the end of whatever happened to the plumber just now.

Hopefully this doesn't trigger nightmares tonight.

ETA Ohhh boy. Methinks I will be VERY glad that I will be unable to see next week's show.

Guess what I've been doing tonight? *smirks*

Yep, finished that chapter I've been nattering on about for a while now. So before I leave the state of high-speed internet service, I'll be able to give you all that long awaited update on the WIP that shall remain nameless because I'm feeling especially evil right now.

Even better, the frog managed to pry all the bunny boxes open, so the next chapter has started flowing nicely...well, at least for a full scene that fills a page. Hey, it's been a while, that's progress.

*whistles as I skip off into the sunset with the frog at my heels*
