Okay, I've probably sung the praises of this author and story before, but in case anyone missed it, I'll reprise it.

Guildsister has built an incredible yarn with her series of two stories: Truthsome and The Blue Sun Job. She is easily one of the most talented (if not the most) in the Firefly fandom. These stories focus on Mal in a very dark place and how the crew rallies to pull him from the edge. In Blue Sun Job, she also delves in the history between Mal and Zoe and its effects on the crew. A fabulous tale with lots of heroics, mind-reading, and eery insights.

If you haven't checked them out yet, make time to do so. She's started posting the last bit of Blue Sun Job after a short hiatus and says that she already has it all written, so by the time you catch up to her, I doubt it will be a WIP any longer.

Go, read, comment:)

Well, I keep resolving to get up and get to work at a decent time. My body keeps vetoing my good intentions. Though I did wake up this morning feeling decent, just that with the actual working out for half an hour yesterday, my body demanded 8 hrs sleep. The good thing was that it was good sleep (and knock on wood, my neck is better!), so I guess I can't argue.

Thesis committee count: TC-22 days.

Yes, I need to keep reminding myself of that. Hopefully lots of work on it will be accomplished this week. I do have the good luck that most of my figures are probably done thanks to all the damn posters from this summer! I do want to reanalyze some data slightly to see if I can get a way to make comparisons between these experiments or if that's just going to be fubared.

Does not look like my Triple A card is up to date. I might just call Triple A myself today to make sure because I don't really want to bother my mom about it. She may have updated it without having remembered to send me the sticker.

Oh, and the old lab is really imploding. B has heard from the secretary that they are out of money pretty much. Fortunately they still okaying orders from companies, which is all that really matters for him. Still, I'm so glad to not be dealing w/ that hassle. Oh, and retard postdoc keeps going and demanding that he deserves a laptop from the boss even after being told there's no money. The boss has taken to simply hiding in his office with the door shut so it sounds like his depression is back full force---Can I just say how good it feels to be out of his sphere of influence? And what a shiny decision it was to go ahead and leave instead of desperately trying to hang on for scraps of B's project? Granted, I might be held up a little bit longer, but oh well.

It's nice when the 20-20 hindsight reveals the right choices!! :)

I'm just wondering if there's any interest in me creating a writing-only journal? I'd still link all my writing here, but I figure that there might be some people that would prefer to tune out my day-day blathering and just see the fic. No worries either way (whether you have me friended or not), just fill out the poll --
