Grrr...arghh..

I swear, I never thought it possible, but there is actually a website that infuriates me more than a macintosh every could.

ABI Biosystems may have a good product, but gorramit it to hell, evil little trolls designed their website. Evil little trolls with the intention of making ever sane, rational scientist commit hari kari.

Recently cast star not sure which role she's playing

And the scripts not finished and they've added another Xmen character (Multiple Man?) that has yet to be cast.

But supposedly they are currently filming for the 2006 release. Yeah. Sure.

ETA and am I the only one not feeling any spark at all at the news that another Trek film may be in the works? Meehh...when you said we'd have a break from the franchise, I really thought it would be more than 2-5 years. Uuuuck. If they get a good screenwriter, I might consider seeing it. Otherwise, I'm of the opinion that there's not much else to do w/ that verse that hasn't been done previously in book or film.

Oh, that and I'd RATHER HAVE A FARSCAPE MOVIE.

Or another Serenity movie.

Or I don't know, maybe something ORIGINAL.

I get home and my baby flips out on me. Fortunately shutting down again (was just turning it on) and rebooting fixed it. The error was just that symantec didn't load properly. Still, my baby is making me the teensiest nervous. Anyone know anything about dusting the wind vents? I assume it's best to do w/ a vacuum. I also always wonder if my fan actually works properly. My keyboard gets hot and stays hot after the laptop has been on for an hour or so. And by hot, I mean at times it can actually be a tad uncomfortable resting my hands on the keyboard.

Then, I finally recieved the Gloves in a Bottle lotion I'd ordered a while back.....only problem is that apparently the LARGE bottle has a different formulation than the 2 oz bottles. The samples they sent are exactly the same as what I had before, but the large bottle lists Xanthan Gum (guaranteed for my skin to react to which is why I can't wear makeup anymore) as well as Hydrosmellose --- which I generally think of anything with "ellose" in it as belonging to the corn family. So yeah, 13 bucks down the drain since they don't list return instructions. Though i'm thinking of taking it to the lab and seeing if I can get folks there to use it instead of the lotion from Bath and Body works that gives me a migraine and makes my nose itch.

And Trader Joe's doesn't have any of my oatmeal. I finally found where they moved it all today, but they don't have the kind I like. Of course, there's only 3 kinds I can eat that they carry (one of which I like). Explain to me why cornstarch needs to be in the other brand of maple-pecan oatmeal??

B's day ended about as bad as my entire one was. He'd ordered long sleeved tshirts for OU and USC football teams and recieved the notification yesterday or this morning from the college mailroom. Went to pick them up after work and THEY CAN'T FIND IT. They told him to wait some more. *rolls eyes* Guy also in line informed him that the mail room lost 3 of his packages last year and were refusing to reimburse him for them so he finally reported them to the US Post Office.

Opera internet browser, free for one day only

Starting at 9AM EST time this morning, the company is giving out free registration codes to anyone who asks for one. The promotion will last 24 hours, and includes free registration for desktop versions of Opera for Windows, OS X, FreeBSD, Solaris and Linux. The birthday party giveaway doesn't include mobile versions of Opera. Desktop Opera 8 normally costs US$39

I tried out Opera a while back and generally like it. I definitely liked it a lot better than Firefox, honestly. It also has an RSS feed page where you can read all your RSS feeds at once. Have fun.
