*contemplates thrashing the muse*
May. 14th, 2005 11:51 amHmm...I hope this is an example of what happens when the subconscious is trying to work something out as
matociquala has talked about in her writing posts. Cause I'm getting really really sick of the talking head syndrome for dialogue. Right now if I have more than two people in a scene, it's devolving to talking heads. And I can't decide if this is a problem I've always had, or if it's new. *growls* And I just keep banging my head into a wall trying to figure out a new way to tell it. Maybe I just need to leave it set and focus on a different story or go rewrite one of the ones I keep meaning to rewrite.
*shakes fist*
You know I've gotten desperate when I start looking here to see if there is a quick explanation to my probems. It's really not a bad site --- lots of little stuff about plotting, style, story advancement, and dialogue (always useful to the novice!! I cringed the other day when I saw a new author's story on
ff_fanfic and saw that they used NO punctuation in there dialogue. *shudders*
Okay.....off to go work out before I manage to talk myself out of it:P:P And the shoulder is still nonpainful so I either managed to maintain good form all day yesterday or the previous random workouts I'd done this month had gotten it beyond the exercise induced inflammation stage.
Someone want to magically make hamburger buns appear in my kitchen for me for when I return?? Cause I've been a lazy girl and I'm fairly certain my milk has gone off.
Oh, and I put up a new challenge over at
devilwoman_ to keep the yosaff fans busy.

Hell froze over!
May. 14th, 2005 07:35 pmWell, half my apartment is clean --- just need to do laundry now, vacuum and dust, and do the clothes switch over for summer:P But hey, i did good while I was motivated---even cleaned out the cabinets in my pantry (had had some coffee grounds go awry over the years). So feel accomplished a bit anyway. :)
Even better, I found garlic bread at Trader Joes and decided to chance another of their marinaras (the wonders of tomato sauce---ingredient labeling is not always truthful w/ regard to corn). So had Italian for lunch and no headache (even despite the cloudy weather) so today must be my lucky day *knock on wood*
Now then, I think I deserve some ps2 before I start the laundry!
