Life Updatey

Still sick --- really felt like crap this morning...after breakfast and coffee I can breathe again. Gonna see how I feel after a shower to see if I'm actually going to go to work today. ETA...( forget that, staying at home, TMI under cut )

However, I do have some good news to share ---- the professor whose lab I REALLY want to transfer to emailed me yesterday to let me know she's not ignoring me (I'd worried that she was currently at a conference or something when I didn't hear anything back for a day), she just has to track down the head of the program to discuss funding. She hopes that everything will be worked out so I can join her lab though *dances the snoopy dance* So keep crossing those fingers and making those virgin sacrifices for me, okay??:)

Is yahoo messenger acting up for anyone else? At least 3 times, i've had email and messenger hasn't notified me. *glares at yahell* And yes, I checked my settings:P

Disturbing

You know...I can't read the editorials anymore online. It's just too disturbing to be reading about a somber or devastating topic (like today's about the murder rate of urban black children) and to see next to it a picture of the columnist all smiling w/ makeup and good light etc. It's just creepifying.

Really, they should get several pictures taken so they can use an emotionally appropriate one for each topic. You'd have thought their pr guys would have already told them this.

Yes, yes, I'm spamming you and having way too many opinions on too many things. I can't help it that the sunlight turned my brain back on. I should go back to hibernation by november:)
