My Day

So yeah....I'm having separation anxiety. Have a friend of a friend who started having contractions during 6th month of pregnancy and is now on bedrest. Felt so sorry for her that I promised to loan her Firefly a bit at a time (she's never seen it)...and now I'm wondering if I can really do it. I mean disc one and disc three are the best. To be without either even for a little while is very hard *sob*. Yes, I will have Invisible man though soon so that should soothe me a bit...and then I am getting a video game in a couple of days...and I do have work to do, but just the idea that I won't have Serenity or OMR to come home to if I have a bad day at work. Yes, Yes I'm addicted...also nervous that she won't like it. Then I'll have to make chocolate chip cookies and watch the entire thing through just so cappy won't get too depressed. :P

Okay, still hot in apartment but at least it doesn't smell like the lab does so maybe I'll manage to get some work done. Although right now, I'm thinking I might watch a bit of tv while I wait for it to cool off especially since my neck has decided to start doing its annoyed routine. Not bad, but just think resting rather than sitting up typing might be a good idea for a half hour or so.

He does actually read more than just my comments:P Course now I'll probably be a tad more selfconcious about my lunatic fan girl ravings.....naaaah, they're too entertaining. If I stop making a fool of myself, He'll probably stop reading...and then I'd have to stalk him as well as Nathan:P LOL.

Woohoo, worst is over

Okay, too early for my free minutes so I can't call anyone...instead, I'll spam my flist yet again:P Besides, I know Neroli needs something entertaining to read at work anyway:P

Yep, so worst is over, no not grad school. I wish. No, on the editing I'm doing for a friend. It's a review paper of something that is so not in my field although I have had one class in it oh so long ago (like high school actually. Good thing I went to nerd school). So I'm somewhat familiar w/ it and it is a review. He's done the tough part and stuff, just forgot to write and introduction and do things like transistions between paragraphs (scientists, gotta love 'em). Anyway, after being stuck for most of a day and then realizing that what I wrote didn't match the "true" topic of the review, I finally managed to get the first paragraph of the introduction written (mind you, I'm doing this without the description from the paragraph of the true topic of the review). It's not bad if I don't say so myself and means that I might actually get this done tonite;) Sorry, first paragraphs of papers are always the worst for me. If I can get the hook and the general idea paragraph done, the rest generally flows from that. And since I don't have to write it all, this should go a lot faster than normal.

Only major prob is that between conversions between macs and ibm word programs, some odd highlighting has stuck into paper. Dunno what if anything to do about it. Ahh well, first get done w/ it and then see if I have time to pretty it up.

Anyway, just glad it's done. In other news, got the first season of Angel on DVD today in mail (got it since Amazon had a sale on Fox 1st seasons). Am amazed to realize that I really haven't seen anything of first season! Of course, this is cause it was on while I was in high school at said nerd school and had study time's start at 8pm. Well that and if this aired on WB then I couldn't get it at home either. Either way it's all new and now that I know how much "stuff" joss puts into everything, I'm looking for all the cool camera angles, hidden themes etc. Watched first two this evening while I was blocked and was impressed. Not as great as Firefly mainly since it's a tad too broody, but still better than >90% of TV available on the networks.

Okay, enough spam...off to work and cook dinner.
