Back to the grind.

Back to work tomorrow after a full week off. I’m definitely a bit more relaxed than I was, so that’s good. Especially since it will likely be going crazy going back to it. And one of my writers (Problem Child, who has since reformed) will be going on paternity leave in April during our absolutely gonzo conference and work season.
Let’s see, fandom wise:
A few weeks ago when procrastinating, I managed to binge all of the UK police drama(edy?) No Offense in a couple of days. Really enjoyed 95% of it. Good humor, good plotting, good acting. Definitely recommend if it’s your cup of tea.
Watching Star Trek Discovery Season 2 as it airs, which is a very different experience than when I binged Season 1. S2 is also a very different show than S1 in tone and plotting. Not in a bad way, but just very different. Loving their take on Pike.
Writing — since november I’ve been working on a crossover for smallfandombang that I have a small hope of actually getting done in time. Muse cooperative plus time being main issues. Have 6K of words but only just got through with the setup. And now need to figure out where its going from here. The one thing this has taught me is a serious deficiency in MS Word for IPad, namely, you can’t have multiple windows of the same file open so i’m Having to do a lot of scrolling around while trying to decide if I can work what I need for plotting into different programs so I can have both sets of windows open. Sigh, definite first world problems, but seriously messing with me when I go for weeks without opening the file and having to figure out what I did 4 pages ago for consistency.

Date: 2019-03-04 10:13 pm (UTC)We're at episode 11 of S1 although I am struggling to finish it since my partner seems tired of the season but at the same time doesn't want me to continue without him. He wants to watch something else so I suspect it will be some time before I can get to S2. But I'm guessing people are enjoying it given its renewal.
One thing I can't figure out is what verse this is supposed to be, because it doesn't jibe in the least with the original series but also seems substantially different from the Kelvin verse as well. Is that what it's supposed to be?
