So after a bit of massive unfucking of my habitat (which it needed, and I obviously needed incentive to do), I had fleshlycherry all to myself Since Thursday night. Well except I had to go to work on Friday. But without that we wouldn't have had our awesome Marco Polo game in Penn Station in Madison Square Garden. But yes, I was jealous of cherry's day of drinkin cocktails on the roof of the Met in between looking at art :(

Then saturday I forced her to endure boring errands and then set her up for the afternoon/night of pimping while I cooked. She got to watch (list for when she invariably forgets):
Nurse Jackie - she likey
Bates Motel - even with the power of Nestor and promise of more Nestor in S2 this was a fail.
Hannibal - Is there any doubt? I think this was a win.
Shameless - (aka a palate cleanser from the serial killers) Definite win :) Who can resist the Gallaghers?
Continuum - a fail. But I know the S1 is slow so maybe I'll try her again sometime by starting her off on S2? There's gotta be an optimal pimping plan for this.
Fringe - Definitely a possible win :) And man, did I ever forget how good the snark is in S1. I definitely need to catch up on the Fringe rewatch.

We ran out of time to start S5 of Farscape :( Oh well.

But then we had Sunday in which Cherry taught me the dark underbelly of NYC by taking me to buy knockoff purses in chinatown. Pretty hilarious how brazen it is.

Lunch at Dean and Deluca's (gotta see if they are on seemless or not) followed by our first play, Lonestar -- was very meh and no where near as funny as it advertised.

Finished off with Dinner at Chez Josephine that included an ice pack for my wrist that I'd hurt somehow in my cooking marathon, and then back to the theatre for our second show, Atomic the Musical. Dude, this is awesome -- I fully encourage you to go and see it especially if you like historical science. It's about the actual father of the manhattan project who conceived of the idea of the atomic bomb and his journey during and afterward. And the songs - you'd think they'd either be cheesy or dry, but no they were fantastic and rocking! I really want the soundtrack to this thing. The set is very minimalist design and well utilized to highlight the fantastic acting talent. I think it's a limited run so if you are interested check their dates.

Definite fun was had and our tradition of yearly visits is intact. Now to just start planning for our Hawaii trip in a couple of years! :)

You're going to love this: I was telling LP and his brother about our day of tv pimping (which did not start off boring because ULTA! My inner makeup fangirl was, and is, pleased as punch!), and Brother was all 'OMG Bates Motel is awesome you totally need to keep watching it!' and when I explained the plot of Continuum to LP he was very intrigued (which I knew he would be as People vs. Corporate Whatever is right up his alley). Having a sidekick to watch them with probably means I'll get through those two before an of the others :p
