Of course, clarification -- the icon is from my time at the hell biotech, and while my current job is frustrating, it has in no way traumatized me :)
That said, wow, almost every day is a study in exactly why I wasn't happy at this job anymore. Amazingly, head client service VP has dialed back into projects and reminding me that she has actual management skills (although she's still a crappy people manager).
Main client service person, DW, got back from vacation and I'd almost forgotten how annoying the constant sighs and frustrated grumbling is. Can not wait!!!
Also, as it's cooled off inside, we've achieved the indoor temperature that starts my shoulder injury aching again.
My going away gift for the team: snuggies. I kid you not. I found some in purple, our company color, so I couldn't resist since we've joked about it for YEARS.
I really hope new place has decent temperature management and that that holds true when they move to new office. I'm at the point that most of the time, I'd prefer to be hot to cold anymore.
Apartment hunting outside of central trenton area --- soooo demoralizing. I pretty much refuse to go back and not have a washer and dryer. And that means, even though the southern end of my search is a bit aways from NY, that the rent is at a minimum 400 dollars more, and if I want to commit to still having 2 bedroom and try to avoid the bad reviewed places, it's pretty much just a bit less than double. On the other hand, the idea of paying that much in rent definitely has me reevaluating my commitment fear involved in house buying. Fortunately i have good cushion so I have those options, and today I start calling around to make the appointment.
I also need to mail my mom's computer back today.
