Almost done

5 more days, then the holiday. Hopefully I will well and truly have shaken the funk by then. I'm much better than I was on friday, and it was partly hormones. Fortunately I avoided the news on friday so I didn't have rage at humanity going on too. Since my weekend of avoid life has left me with a crap ton to do, hopefully I'll be through wallowing.
I skipped the holiday party on saturday, but went ahead yesterday and went to NYC to see a show with friends. Wow, started out majorly annoyed because no one had given me the exact address of the eatery and I apparently chose the wrong one to show up to. And then it was packed and full of frying food smell so I ended up sticking with my almond butter and bread because it made me nauseous (the smells, not my food). I did get a cute shirt at the Chelsea market. The show, The Heiress, was not what I expected and I really didn't enjoy it even w/ the Downton Abbey guy in it. Didn't care for the acting, the whole thing was too slow, and it was 100% predictable. One of the leads, David Straithairn, got sick during the second act and so the show was delayed a bit and the understudy took over. And then on the train back I ended up sitting next to a guy that REEKED of alcohol. Sigh.
Yeah, I would have rather stayed home.
