Business trips are easier

At least packing wise.
Beginning to realize I may have underpacked. *head desk* Also, the room materials are unhelpful when the section on "dining experiences and guest attire" gives summaries of the restaurants, but doesn't actually mention anything about the dress attire for any of them. *head desk*
Ah well, I guess I'll throw my jeans on w/ some sandals and see if that plus the 300 a night the hotel is getting off me will buy me a place in the back at least. ;)
flight wasn't bad once we took off. I seemed to have gotten the flight that had every single type of person from NJ/Philly that drives me batty from the jersey shore girls in the security line discussing manicures, to the very loud rowdy family group seated behind me on the flight.
Took walk on beach after settling in this afternoon. Have continued to verfiy my lack of "wow-mazement" with respect to most places I visit. overall, the area looks a bit like the strip mall areas of Tampa, FL. Oh, and there's a cock fighting arena across the street from the Ritz Carlton. Cognitive dissonance anyone?
So, plan is early dinner, then figure out what to occupy myself with tomorrow. Sort of playing around with idea of taking a jet ski tour, but then on second thought, am realizing that I'm blind without my glasses and I don't have a "cheap" pair to wear on the jet skis. Shoulda planned better and brought my sports goggles with me. Oh well, now I know I'm not doing that :P Better laid plans for next time. So I guess it will be shopping/site seeing historic downtown, then either a combo of pooltime or time in my room to see if my muse wants to play (I managed to forget the dvds I meant to bring to get my muse inspired).
Oh, 1 plus for Ritz-Carlton resort vs other 3-4 star hotels I've stayed in for business: free wifi! :) Of course, that may only be a San Juan event. Who knows.
