Maybe the universe doesn't hate me....

jebbypalWow, yesterday was one of extreme highs and lows.
Highs: presentation at the client went swimmingly with everyone stating I nailed it and being impressed.
Lows: Started throwing up 10 minutes after getting home and that lasted for a couple of hours.
Fortunately it ran its course without any need for medical intervention (which, in general, is unusual as I've had to go and get anti-nausea shots 2x for food poisoning and 1x for stomach flu). Culprit is uncertain: scallops at legal seafood didn't taste bad, but they were not great so I didn't eat all of them. Texture was off making me think they just hadn't been cooked as thoroughly as I like (food should be charred people!). But on drive home after walking around mall for a couple of hours, I started to get REALLY sleep and it was pouring rain, so I ate the last bit of cupcake that I'd left in the car when I went into the mall for lunch/shopping. But it was much cooler than it's been the past few days (high of like 83) and I'd parked within a garage. IT was good that I did eat it because the sugar/caffeine woke me up, and about five minutes later, the rain turned into walls of water that you couldn't see through at 10 miles an hour. But yeah, no clue which it was, just very glad it was mild.
MOstly better now, though a bit headachy. Long enough that I think I can risk some coffee as they tea wasn't quite cutting the coffee + pseudofedrine withdrawal.
So today is officially my day of rest for my birthday. Which was made better by my friend J sending me TURTLE CANDY THAT I CAN EAT. (by that, i refer to caramel and pecans covered in chocolate). \0/ I have not had turtles in at least 10 years thanks to corn. They are as good as I remember.
So today, rest. And a bit of cleaning as this place needs it and the rest of the month is going to be so busy it won't happen if it doesn't now. And then work tomorrow on my birthday if I hope to have any time to be able to sleep in the next 2 weeks.
Is it September yet? If I run away to Canada will that make it be September?? *pouts*
