Finally watched True Grit. Have to say, I hadn't been taken by the ad campaign as I'd been unable to understand Bridges' character through most of the commercials. Fortunately not that bad in the actual movie.
And wow. Best Western in quite a while, IMO. Highly recommend it.
Then watched Morning Glory. \0/ Also highly enjoyable, although it occasionally triggered my embarrassment squick, though not as much as most comedies. More though - very few times did my inner feminist get angry at anything. Which is almost unheard of. Wasn't watching with a critical eye, so I do know there were things that mileage may vary on, but much better than the vast majority of things out there. Sad that it didn't perform better at the box office, especially given all the heavy hitters in it, but still. Highly recommend it.
