Go forth and remix

Well, might as well pimp it even if I don't have time to participate. Sign-ups for the
remixredux challenge are open till tomorrow night. I've seen a couple of people on my flist mention it and it looks intriguing....but no! Must stay strong. I cannot sign-up for any deadlinish challenges until after my thesis committee meeting. Seriously...cannot...willnot...someone please bash my head in and tell moderators not to let me participate if you see me start trembling with weakness and desire, K?
Okay...got that off my chest. However I will be looking forward to seeing what everyone does w/ the remix challenge. This is the first time in almost 8 years of reading fanfic (omg!!! I've really been that addicted for that long) that I've heard of this particular type of challenge. Wow, lj is expanding my fandom horizons by leaps and bounds. *smirk*
Not much else going on other than enduring yet another mind killing boringly painful lab meeting again today. I swear, gift high school students are capable of producing better science than some of our post docs. Heck, C high school students too for that matter.
Plan for tonite:
1) CLEAN. And I must do it now because my best friend and her boy friend are going to come and visit me this weekend. So laundry and a good deal of tidying to occur for the next three days!
2) When i can't clean anymore, beta work (grins at
docmichelle)
3) If I'm really good, I get to watch an episode of firefly while I fold laundry.
Sadly, no Farscape or Shield yet. Both have shipped though and I have hopes that possibly farscape will arrive tomorrow. It's frustrating because for some reason Amazon shipped it Airborne this time instead of UPS...which means that it doesn't get scanned every morning and nite so I can't track it's progress daily :(:(

Date: 2005-02-02 02:43 pm (UTC)pimperly pimply pimpingHuggy Bear duties to my flist. Both you and tafkar just mentioned it. It's one of those really big, kinda elite fandom challenges like yuletide, so I'm a bit nervous. Plus, the idea of somebody playing with my work--scary. I think the idea that they might make it better is worse than the idea that it might come out bad.Anyway--no hurries with the beta. I actually forgot I was working on the story for a few days. *has spazzy brain*
Did you order the first season of Farscape? Hubby and I really loved the first season, then got a little lost in the second, and completely lost interest after that. I think we're completely opposite of every Farscape fan on the planet.
