jebbypalLJ fail makes me tired, and yet they insisit on doing something at least yearly. This time it's redirecting links through an outside source in order to make more money. Details can be found here, including easy peasy instructions on how to disable it for yourself (on anything you view. Outsiders viewing your account that haven't done it will still have link redirects occuring).
Also, if you mod a community go here to find out how to disable it there as well.
Myself, this is getting a tad ridiculous. I bought a permanent account so I wouldn't have to deal with the repeated sales marketing etc crap that was occuring. I am going to delete my free LJ account that I'd left up as a repository for fic, because I don't like the idea of my content generating them money anymore. I'm going to delete any free community accounts that are no longer active. I'm also going to think a lot more about doing serious cross-posting to dreamwidth instead of using it as fic only archive.
Like I said, LJ fail normally makes me tired. But they are starting to fail in a way to make me take action.
