First and foremost during my day of hookie yesterday (which only means I'll be required to finish my work this weekend), I watched the ep of Human Target that I'd DVRed (which, btw, my Wednesday night at 9 o'clock has gotten WAYYYY TOO filled with shows I like).

Can I just say wow, the show really managed to deliver a good ep, which is good because after the swiss cheese of plot holes and impossibilities of the previous week, I was about ready to give up on this one. And a Sean Maher appearance for the hook to make me watch (which I'd totally forgotten about since the preview of the previous week).

This week's ep of SPN; however, was quite possibly one of the worst of the entire show IMO. Plot holes on the level of demonic truck. I swore that Sarah Drew made an appearance - which was the only good part, but her imdb page doesn't list it (and the cast info page doesn't seem to list who was playing that character...of course, they don't list Gary either...Weird). But seriously, the writers made both Dean and Sam look like the functional morons that Crowley described them as. Which worked in that ep, but seriously, i wouldn't be watching a show about functional morons after 5 seasons. And I doubt functional morons would have survived 5 seasons of this shit. Quit phoning it in, SPN. Please. Because if you keep resting on your laurels knowing you'll be renewed so why bother wrapping up this arc this season, you know what you'll become? SMALLVILLE!

I wasn't feeling the love for Leverage this week - I don't know what has happened to my fun train there...Maybe I just need to back off and marathon the season like I did season 1. I think I'm also getting annoyed that they have to assume the audience is composed of idiots and so don't even bother giving us the shots to allow us to figure out some parts of the con anymore. White Collar, the pretty always makes me ignore the plot holes there :) But Burn Notice definitely saved everything this week. They've got a good actor playing Gilroy (But man, I wish we had Victor around too), and we FINALLY got to hear more about Mrs. Sam Axe, though the continuity bug fell apart here --- I mean, Sam broke up with Veronica because he couldn't accept her proposal because he's already married right? This show seemed to imply that this Mrs. Sam Axe left Sam, moved on (twice), and implied pretty heavily that matrimony may have been in play. So, was there more than 1 Mrs. Sam Axe? I hope they pay this off this season....

And Dollhouse! I hate to say it, but Joss really does the best work when he knows things are ending .... the last season of Angel was a loss until they got the cancellation notice, IMO. Dollhouse was a mess until cancellation made them give us Epitaph 1. I mean, I like the long story in Firefly, but there it worked bacause we had kickass small stories. Other times, you've gotta give us some clue of where we're going.

And now, a poll, because I'm trying to see why I've been ambivalent to LJ, and I don't know, this might be it. I feel like I'm missing some interaction, but I don't know how much it is just me not putting enough back in, or how much it is a result of fannish migration to dreamwidth. So:

I don't have dreamwidth...maybe I should...but I'm here and reading (thought not commenting enough, I know).

It seems that everyone goes through phases where they post and comment quite a bit, but then there are the corresponding phases of kindly lurkerdom as well. I've been trying to step out of my most recent lurker phase recently.

*hugs back*
