Well....umm....Most I can say is I really thought that Ben Edlund would make it into something better...but no go. Was still incredibly slow and too depressing up until the last five minutes of the show. AGain, some flashes of potential good, occassional hints of Ben actually writing it, but so far nothing is happening to make me care about anyone! Still no clue whose fault that is. The lead actress, christina, she finally seemed to be getting into her groove a little at the end of it. Eh....if i'm home, i may give it another couple of goes.

So umm....so far, I so feel sorry for Judy. Right now, I almost detest the character while feeling that the only reason she is there is so that Christina will get to stay in Richard Burghi's house. Burghi had a great scene tonite and finally established his character well...I'm not thinking "Jim Ellison" every second he's on the screen anymore. Anyway, back to Judy, see how easy it is to over look her? I mean tonite, the poor girl was made to suffer a car accident just so that Jesse and vapid girl had an excuse to drop by and have tension w/ Christina. Plus set up the end which actually wasn't all bad. But geez, give this girl something to do other than make sure every character in the show knows what's going on!!! The first 5 sec i saw her, I thought she'd be a cool character...but for every minute since then, the writers/creators/directors have made it so that the character seems to have a mental age of 8. Auuugh.

And that scene in the stairwell?? Hello...wtf was that??I guess we had to get our random almost sex kiss in for the fox execs since it was the only one in the entire hour. I'm sorry, I hate how they are handling the relationship of Jesse and Christina. The dialog here really seemed to indicate that they could do something more w/ it----I'd rather them show them establish something other than a purely physical connection if they are going have them blathering about how "they miss each other even though they don't know each other". Sorry, that doesn't happen in real life. Lust does not equal missing and longing. At least not for anyone older than 13.

And the scene at the church? Actually every scene at the church has sucked. But the last one tonite was just out there. Christina comes in upset and looking for direction and we end up w/ a scene from the excorcist where the young (hot) priest yells at her "Get out!" several times while having his eyes roll back in his head and reaching for a knife. Then at the end of the show...we are supposed to believe that this scene was actually his reaction to the feeling of overpowering LOVE he felt when he prayed w/ Christina???? WTF?? Beginning to wonder exactly who is evil here!!

I did like the scene where Christina told Ben to "give her the evil back". The visuals, the acting, all were the best this show has seen yet. Which isn't saying alot. Still, was the only one that didn't leave me feeling completely let down.

And yes.....satan's side kick is still cool!! And the best part of the show.

So..I'm going to start doing this till I give up on the show. Each time I'll see if I can predict the "surprises" for the season.
1) Jesse is the holy child/matyr supposed to stop Christina. That or they are supposed to breed and create a new evil race of lust bunnies. Who knows.
2) Vap girl's mother (the slut) will kill and/or impersonate Ben's wife.
3) Ben won't notice anything.
4) Judy will be pointless.
5) Christina will start to like her power and decide to become Point Pleasant's new superhero: The Avenging Anti-christ.
That's it for now.
