sooo...I've decided what to use my hastings gift card for --- I know I want more classical music cds but I am woefully undereducated about it, so I figure if I get them w/ this, I won't be upset if I don't love them. Right now all I have is two Baroque cds I got ages ago w/ a mix of different composers (the one I'm currently ripping has handel, bach, teleman, and boccerni). So if any of you are classical buffs, any suggestions of specific cds or composers I should look for?

Thanks for the help:)

Ravel's 'Bolero' is one of my favorite classical pieces, and it's a, pardon the pun, classic. One of the best things I did when I started getting into classical music was buy a lot of compilation albums. "Best Arias in the World" or there's a whole series of "25 Best..." that you can get that usually have pastel CD cases. Let's see...I found a link on Amazon for CDs that I own:

Best Opera Album in the World (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000084JD/qid=1106630048/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/102-1301874-0386539)
25 Baroque Favorites (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000058I7/ref=pd_sim_music_4/102-1301874-0386539?v=glance&s=music) (in fact, I have pretty much this whole series and I really like it; it's classical lite in some ways, but it's a great introduction)
