Yeah, Brian is all better. Had to take him soup and bread this morning because he didn't have anything bland enough that he thought his stomach could handle (he had a 24 stomach virus or food poisoning in case I hadn't mentioned it before). He loved the TJ's premade soup so that was good. And still had enough energy by the end of the day...well okay, 3pm when I'd finished what I needed to in the lab to go to delaware to finish up grocery shopping before the supposed WORST SNOW STORM EVER hits us (how can they know that until it actually gets here? Sorry, every blizzard we should have had in philly has missed us. I've only experienced one noreaster snow and yes, impressive by southern standards. but one in 5 years? the weathermen here are alarmists...and bad at predicting the weather. My sinuses are more accurate thank you very much). Plus more to come next week supposedly. So seemed like a good idea to stock up somewhat.
So yeah, cocoa in my life again. So hot chocolate here we come and chocolate gravy in the future as well. (How many have tried it yet? Be honest.)
While we were out, I bought a video game on the off chance I finish cleaning my apartment (and yes, will happen this weekend since I didn't have my normal shit week and don't need to escape into fanfic as much) and start going stir crazy. Picked up Fable. Played through the intro level tonight. I got it on the rec of one of Brian's friends. So far I'm not impressed. I dunno, just not grabbing me yet. Maybe it will be better once I get into the main flow. At this point, I'm seriously thinking of making a ps2 my next investment....well, maybe before I graduate. I'll see (my parents my freak if they help me pack for a move). First things first, see how much I don't owe for my taxes and whether I'll be able to keep not having to pay quarterly estimates (it this whole stipend thing. Don't have to pay social security and fica, but as a trade off, the main office doesn't automatically take out your taxes either.).
Oh....and making chicken soup this weekend. Bought this cookbook I guess a year ago - A cup of Comfort Cookbook edited by Colleen Sell - and it has this wonderful tomato based chicken soup -- Mama Leone's chicken soup. My fave. I'm addicted to tarragon...never knew how gooood it was:) Hopefully not too good;)
Anyway, that's about it from here. Oh, third watch continues to be good. My remote to my tv continues to be missing so I've yet to see any of Johnny Zero although I continue to hear good things about it.
