jebbypalnews linking....I almost want to put under a cut to avoid harshing anyone's day of joy....
Bush's DOJ considering guidelines that would make Big Brother a very scary reality. Basically, data mining and racial profiling would be all that was needed to allow the FBI to open an investigation on an individual. Also, these policies would go into effect BEFORE the next administration.
A judge has ordered Google to turn over user histories to Viacom. This is presented as a way for Viacom to build a case to increase Google's own liability. Not sure about any other implications.
In case you haven't heard, 3 americans, and other hostages, were rescued from the FARC this week.
Negotiations between the US Embassy and the Iraqi government may lead to scrapping of "Contractor Immunity".
