So last night was a fandom night....Watched the new Who and then finished off the 4400 (wow, was s4 a bland season or what? Blech).
Okay, so in all likelihood, the Doctor will stay Tennant (if the contract negotiations w/ BBC go well - I read they're offering 100,000 a show). But, this is Who. And you know, while I love 10 and all, Who is about regnerations. I didn't appreciate 9 till he was gone and I started wishing I could see 9 and Martha (because I just really think they're a better match). And as much as I love 10, I can't help thinking, what next? (and yes, I know, we're under the gun here technically due to the supposed "regeneration" limitation -- which I suppose is why they needed to create a daughter for him so badly if they ever want to resurrect the franchise again).
Still, I can't help but wonder, who would be the next Doctor? And since I haven't ever seen old Who, what I have to suggest may be scandalous --- then again, I think he could pull of an english accent if required:
Alan Tudyk.
And hey, the doctor would get to be slightly ginger, right??Plus, i can imagine him being all upset at the lost height. - Errr, not, only an inch difference. Seriously, the man works with giants all the time and gives the impression of being short.... (Actually, I started this by thinking that Nathan Fillion is out of work, but well, I dunno, just too classically pretty for the role, methinks....though that would bring all new kinks to Doctor/Jack).
Anyone with me here? And come on, Tudyk definitely has the acting chops for it. :)
