poisontaster's firefly fic (which, if you are new around here, read fanfic, like firefly and haven't read, where the hell have you been? Go and read). then yesterday I caved and did the year in review fic roundup *hangs head*. And then started rereading some of my own fic because I didn't remember what I'd written for the Washathon and...
It may be something in the food or air, but for once I can read it and not feel like it sucks (of course, I'm not going past 2006....can't do that without getting the insane urge to either rewrite or delete of the internetz!! It's not trash, but omg before that was I having growing pains and learning like WHOAH).
After the dry spell of the past year, it felt really good to remember that I can write and it's not all dren when I do. Makes me not dread so much opening up the WIP files (though I'm starting to wonder if I just need to rewrite tons of it - ie if that's why I'm so stuck since that can be what the muse does to punish me for not listening).
Of course, letting myself fall this much back into my head for writing is going to make real life on Monday hurt all the more.
Siiigh, I've really gotta figure out what I need to do to get some original fic ideas.......
