Balance in all things...

Well, this is a mixed day. First, I realized I'd forgotten how the protocol goes, so I have a shorter day today, but a much longer day next saturday unless I can get on of the people in the lab to throw my stuff into the water bath on friday night.
Also, my FAVORITE brunch place no longer serves brunch. In fact, they've been doing so poorly that they've stopped opening on weekends at all. :(:(:(:(:( I guess when B and I stopped supporting them every weekend sometime last year, we doomed them. :( We went to Monk's (a pretty famous belgian bar here in philly) for brunch instead. It was okay, but no crab cakes :( And the coffee SUCKED.
However, when I got to work, I checked out my bursar bill (must be paid before I deposit my thesis) and found out that when the department grant paid my tuition, THEY ALSO COVERED MY HEALTH INSURANCE. *score* :):):) No grand for crappy crappy insurance. Woohoo. (Hopefully this doesn't magically revert).
So all in all, we'll call today a win I suppose. :) Now to just get home and do some laundry because I'm down to the bras with the malfunctioning straps...
