First Journeyman becomes the thinking man's Quantum Leap. That alone would have been enough to made this fall tv season a win.
But Life...oh man. I really doubt that any other cop show would ever surpass Boomtown. Boy was I wrong on soooooo many levels. They may have trouble juggling and giving time to their A and B stories sometimes, but only because they're A stories have so much depth to them. And the B stories are...well, generally fleshing out Crewes' character by fleshing out the non-cops that are his support system - his finance handler guy that he met in prison and the lawyer that got him out. This surpasses anything that Prison Break did in its first five episodes IMO. And the self contained stories allow you to not be constantly wondering at the mystery and being upset that there's no reveal or clue a la Lost.
I seriously cannot begin to squee or recommend this show highly enough. If it was on at the same time as SPN...I'd be watching Life....just to give you an idea.

FACT!
I love Life, I DO! But nothing will replace Supernatural, EVER!
I rewatched Band of Brothers this weekend because I needed to watch more Damian Lewis. He brings me JOY!
I am really upset that you know who left at the end of this episode. ANGRY would be an understatement! The writers better FIX THIS!
*needs to upload the Life icons she grabbed...wait, was that before the crash?*

Bionic Woman, on the other hand, seems to become stupider and stupider with each passing episode. "My dad died of Parkinson's?" Please. *kicks BW writers*

Life is even BETTER than I hoped it would be. I love Damian Lewis in BoB and wanted his show to succeed, even if they DID replace Claudie Black with that generic blonde as Crews' wife. But... ah, well, nothing is *perfect*, is it?
The show manages to be funny and intense and quirky at the same time. I don't really feel sexual tension between Crews and his partner, but I like their banter. More and more with every ep.
