I think that depends on context.

"I think that it was a critical mistake to not include the ... " could be seen as being judgmental..
where as..
"The critical point in the study was to show " could be seen as just emphasizing the point

Yep, I agree. The only problem is they flagged "this is an important finding" as being judgemental when I'd think it's emphasis.

ick. sounds like they are being overtly picky. I would not see important as judgmental generally, unless you'd said "they missed this important finding because they are morons"

Um, no it didn't. I was bored and tried to figure out how to put up one on my own. I failed, but I rather kind of like ben on every piece of my page...:) LOL.
