No more sauna? What's going on?

jebbypalOr at least, that's what my body seems to be saying. They've pretty much turned off the heat (though they do occassionally keep turning it on around 2am. whatever) and my body is very very confused. I've had three nights of very light sleep combined with waking up wide awake at 4 am. Granted, I've been going to bed a tad earlier, but I can't convince myself to get out of bed at 4 am even if I am awake.
Last night though I at least had the bonus of odd dreams - It started off having to do with the lab. To explain, (in reality) our postdoc's wife had his baby yesterday and so everyone was in a kerfuffle to take care of of his stuff. So this is why I was dreaming about the various cell lines he has going. For some reason, I was taking care of one and also doing an experiment with it --- except he had it growing in very very small wells that would make my addition of very small volumes difficult. Supposedly these cells wouldn't grow in larger flasks, but I was determined to make it happen...and then various hijinks ensued in which I became absolutely convinced that I'd killed them. *shakes head* And it was entirely too realistic to the point that I woke up feeling guilty until I realized it was a dream. *laughs*
Fortunately, things got better with me dreaming about Farscape. Sadly of course, I don't remember the details of this one. But it made me definitely not want to wake up when my alarm started going off at 6!! *mmmm Farscape*
All in all though, I feel much better mentally than I have in at least a week. I'm very energized with regard to work, especially since I have the incentive to get my ass out of this place before the end of july!! I still need to figure out what is going on with my state taxes. And I need a draft of one of my papers finished by April 1 --- guess whose going to be doing marathon writing this weekend in all likelihood :) LOL.
