jebbypalWent out to get groceries (and avoid paint fumes) since the weather is supposed to be HORRID for the next two days. Figured that while I was out and had a day off, I'd venture the six blocks down to staples finally. Even stopped in a few stores w/ sales on the way. Though for the record, City Sports makes me detest manufacturers. They didn't have a single pair of sweats or even longish workout pants for less than 45 dollars even with the sale. Abandoned that idea but did buy gloves while I was at it since my waterproof winter gloves refuse to surface in my apt.
Anyway, got to staples and guess what? No, they were open even though it was the holiday, but they weren't letting anyone in because "their registers were done". But they invited you to walk another six blocks to another of their city locations.
WTF? How the hell are your registers down but up six blocks away?
*rolls eyes* So much for getting a modem since my wireless connectionss have become less than reliable recently. I guess if the weather isn't craptastic, I'll try radioshack near campus after all (didn't go on saturday because wind storm from hell started right before it started snowing).
But I have groceries. So that's something.
Oh, and the painters are annoying the hell out of me. The fumes aren't actually as bad as I feared, but they've managed somehow to get DUST all over my doorknob. You'd figure that when they do that that they'd, oh I don't know, clean it off? Or tape the doorknobs to prevent that? Or somemthing. *rolls eyes*
