Well.....my bathroom is now cleaner than it's been in....ages. Had to wipe down every single surface to get rid of the dust. I don't know if they blasted it or not (I assume they didn't since there are lots of uneven bumps in the new glaze on the tub), but whatever they did made a mess. So that's done and the vacuuming of the dressing area.

Sadly...as I started to put up laundry, I found a whole new thing to worry and wonder about cleaning. All my hangars are covered in the same white silt stuff layered on every surface in my bathroom. And it had pretty good distribution since it turned a corner and also coated my dresser. So obviously the guy didn't close the door to the bathroom.

So I need to clean my hangars...and what about all my clothes that were just hanging?? If you haven't heard my rants before, I have very sensitive skin (as well as a condition that makes it embarrassingly obvious when I scratch too much). I have no doubt that this crap will be enough to irritate my skin..which beyond the immediate uncomfortableness is guaranteed to give me a really bad case of acne on the affected skin as well. But cripes, it's going to cost over 20 bucks to wash ALL of my clothes (and that's not even including the cost in detergent). I don't know if I anticipated this before or not, but I don't remember this problem last time. Course, the guy did a very half assed job back in october, which is why it had to be redone. Ugghh. At least I did this this week instead of next. If i was having to freak out about this and my poster next week, well, you'd just be better off putting me out of my misery.

Also, so much for getting back onto a normal sleeping schedule while the boss is away. I swear, I don't know why my body refuses to obey me and has decided to become a nightowl. At least now I only need 8 hours of sleep compared to when it was doing this and depressed as well.

Oh..despite everything, I am grateful that I have this apartment though. Sneaked a look inside an empty one on my floor when I was doing laundry and egads!! Now I remember EXACTLY why I was so against living in this very building the first year I lived in Philly. The other studios are set up so that the entire apartment is the exact width of their kitchen...except that their kitchen's aren't any bigger than mine, so they have half the space. Basically because of my position I ended up w/ a place as big as some of the small one bedroom apartments. It's layout isn't especially helpful to rearranging anything, but it is big enough that I can have a kitchen table/desk, a bed, a futon, a dresser (that doubles as a TV stand), and a small bookshelf all in the front room. Course, none of this leaves any room for much of anything....I'm slowly working on eradicating the trait my mother gave me of wanting to cover every available inch of wall space with furniture (which drives my dad completely nuts).

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] luridmuse made me a very droolworthy Ben Browder wallpaper for my birthday. *hugz* Thank you so much babe;) Never too many manips of Ben in the world.
