finally

From the last 2 weeks, I finally managed to accumulate what is probably a week's worth of food in my freezer. Beef stew and the broth/veggie/meat makings of chicken noodle soup (that turned out a bit tasteless unfortunately, but I figure if I'm sick, I won't care). So yay to that. Not that I need to stop stocking it, but at least now I'm no longer at the "I have 2-3 meals frozen which I can easily decimate with 1 weekend of laziness".

So, as we had a office function that went late in the evening a bit over a week ago, I did the drive partway to Secaucus and take train rest of way into the city (instead of taking the train the full way from home). This leaves me in the conondrum of what's more important: money or time.

Driving part way saves me an hour and a half a day minimum (unless I hit horrid traffic, but by avoiding going all the way into the city, I avoid most of the bad pressure points). But, because the SEC train station smartly decided to do a monopoly on parking garage close to the station and purposely jack their prices in comparison to the cost of NYC parking + tolls to get into NYC, it will cost 300+ dollars a month over what I'm currently paying. 300 bucks vs potential 40-50 hours a month of my life back. Plus if I'm in my car on the way home, it's harder for me to just say "f it" and stay on the couch once I get home so it would give incentive for a mid week workout.

This month is decided since I have a monthly pass, but I figure next month I'll switch to weekly and give it a test.

Also, omg, my brain squirrels have been crazy busy the past 2 weeks. Any social interaction that does not revolve around work talk results in 2 days of internal mocking and derision of the brain squirrels. I forgot about this aspect of getting out of the depression.
