Possible signs of an intervention....
Oct. 30th, 2011 10:18 amOkay, finally caught up on sons of anarchy and am so glad that the recent eps have started to be of win again. We seem to mostly have passed the part of the season of having characters do stupid things to move the story along that actually triggers my embarrassment squick. (seriously, a show about bikers should not trigger my embarrassment squick people!!)
So now I at least have that and dexter. And house. but everything else is quickly falling into just plain comfort/routine TV. Even good wife needs to step it up a little bit in my opinion (or maybe Suits just raised my expectations for a hell of a lot more snark per episode).
Boardwalk empire is okay. Homeland is okay and intriguing, but still, wouldn't mind a teeny bit of action.
Of other new shows this season outside of homeland, wow.
Once upon a time - okay, but I'm not hopeful that things are going to pick up fast enough to maintain my interest. Grimm was one of the better pilots but I was underwhelmed by the 2nd half hour, and frankly surprised that w/ greenwalt as a producer it didn't have better pacing. Which may mean that NBC is screwing it up. OH well, Chuck was actually pretty fun that night.
But really, of everything else, Pan Am seems the strongest, and that's mostly just complete brain candy. Hart of Dixie - I'd keep watching this show if I could find a way to delete out the 2 main female characters. Which saddens me greatly. Partly their voices, mostly the fracking stereotype. And it makes me sad that this is what Hellcats got cancelled for. And wow. that's just crazy.
So I look forward to second half of seasons for USA shows next month.
And at this point I'm just putting time watching spn so i can say i was there in the beginning and there at the end, and WOW, i can't believe what a clusterfuck this season has become. ( and really? that's what kills them? )
