Long day...
Apr. 18th, 2011 07:34 amWell, work didn't get done this weekend (nor cleaning), but I did shop for food, do some cooking, do taxes, and do my business shopping trip.
Too much money was spent on said business shopping trip, but hopefully I won't melt in London in June now, I actually have a rain coat that isn't an EMS jacket, a few new dress shirts, and suits that fit. Well hopefully. Both the salesperson and my friend were firmly against the size 44 pants at Benneton, so I let them both talk me into the 42. A little worried how comfie they will be over all, so I plan to wash one pair to see if it shrinks appreciably before getting them all hemmed. Then if it does, I can at the very least go and exchange the other two pair, if not all three next weekend.
However, I do have to say, clothes shopping is infinitely more easy when I have someone along w/ fashion sense whose pay does not depend on my expenditures.
Also, got another pair of loafers as the shoe inserts are stretching the comfie leather ones out to wazoo where I'm not certain they'll be comfie to walk around in all day, and I established yesterday that I can't walk around for more than 2+ hours without needing said inserts for my poor high arches. Oy, my legs even hurt from that experiment yesterday.
But then came home, exhausted. Got hamburgers and buns made though, so yay for productivity. Proceeded to also have 2nd mega nosebleed of the day --- Dear body - none of this tomorrow, okay? And get it out of your system before the 30th (including the rest of pms that is due in the next 2-3 days if my temperature swings are anything to go by). Ate some spinach on the off chance a little extra vitamin K will help (though I've been eating salad, so surely that's not it).
That being said, I watched Game of Thrones last night. [Unknown site tag]
Overall, I liked it. Although is it bad that I hope they start to deviate from the book? Mostly because I remember the plot waaaayyyyy too well (and I haven't reread in over a year or more).
One casting nitpick --- why, oh why, do the 3-4 teenage boys in winterfell look exactly the same?? Except slightly height? Not to mention, names were only used when they were all together so I'm still not sure exactly whose who, except I might be able to pick out Jon since he had a couple of scenes on his own.
