Really, one of those weeks?
Jul. 15th, 2010 08:29 amUggh. This month can't be over fast enough, and yet, I need it to go as slowly as possible since as of last week I have no fewer than 3 projects due before my move leave, 1 of which is a from scratch draft of a review article. Wheee.
So color me not amused as the number of sinus migraines that have been triggered by the rain in and rain out every day this week that necessitated me eating aleve like candy. Which, we all know where this leads: waking up this morning with a gushing nosebleed. The rolling on my back and hoping it would go away because I didn't want to get up worked for about 5 minutes. *rolls eyes* So of course, there went my plans for getting up and doing yoga before going to work.
However, I did come home yesterday to find a birthday gift from my college friend J on the front porch. Which was needed because I'd been bummed as I tried to call my brother at work (varying times of calls on the off chance he'd pick up) and found that his voicemail no longer works which is not exactly a positive sign. She got me cafe press items - this shirt and this mug. As much as I hide my science geek from the outside world, these are pretty cute. Will have to see after washing the shirt if I can wear it or not (iron on decal -- not sure how my skin is going to deal with it), but the mug is pretty durn cool. I plan on taking it when I give my immunology 101 presentation to the client next month. (Tempted to wear the shirt, but alas, not exactly business dress).
Burn notice tonight!!!! Last week was painful!!! Also achieved this week, getting comcast appointment set up for the friday I move in so I'm not without TV and internet longer than necessary. Of course, once again, I hate comcast over pricedness since it was about the same to go with the mega package as do it piecemeal when you calculate in fees for dvr/modem, hbo, and showtime. *growls* I will miss you Fios. Please come to my new place sometime in the next 2 years. Kthx.
