Bits of randomness...

Have to spend the weekend working instead of doing the cleaning/writing I'd been planning on.

Is it horrible that I almost hope my friend nixes any plans for T-day so I can spend a weekend ensconced in fandom? (as opposed to my normal weekend of just mainlining movie after movie..yes I'm boring).

And I'm trying to figure out how to broach the possibility of paying for my parents to get satellite internet (and paying the monthly bill) without them hitting the roof. I know they don't do much on it, but really, at 56K its getting hard for them to even get into their email, order their meds online, or anything, especially since they are far enough in the boondocks to be luck y to get speeds of 48K.

Disconnect from any active fandom can be measured in lack of icon acquisition.
