Well my headache yesterday abated long enough for me to enjoy watching Peacekeeper Wars during the afternoon. I think this is only the second or third time I've seen it actually.

( I still can't get over how long it seems to be. *spoilers* )

Seriously, how did I go so many months without watching any farscape????

Now to remove my brain from the fannish place and hope it's through with being sick so I don't screw up anything at work.

Think privatization only applies to insurance, turnpikes, and the war effort? For the right price, your insurance company (AIG) will dispatch private firefighters to protect your home from a wildfire. Anyone see a time when you'll have private ambulances taking you to the hospital that actually has real doctors, good access to all medical treatments, etc? Oh wait, the middle class and the poor already pretty much see that as we fight with the insurance companies and medicare to give us the treatment we need.

If your college wants to give you financial aid, they may be forced to be copyright police and offer music subscription services. Because you know, despite what the Republicans say, they don't give a fig about state rights or individuals over the almighty corporation.

Ex-NSA employee says the agency has been given unfettered access to snoop through AT&T's internet traffic. I wish the politicians would wake and smell the coffee. But I guess until this results in a Watergate-esque spying on polical machinations, nothing will happen. Besides, you aren't guaranteed true privacy. Just privacy as defined by the government.
