Aug. 3rd, 2007 11:44 amOkay, I thought I was being all nifty and sly this weekend by checking on some of you via filter. Then I go and miss two days in a row and when I come back to an unfiltered flist, skip80 only gets me back to AUGUST SECOND. Wow, so this is what happens when one doesn't check multiple times on weekdays, eh??I'll have to get more used to this as I doubt that i can check LJ at work work since I'm fairly certain they monitor internet useage and I don't want to get fired due to fandom (and you don't want me to either since if I do i can't pay my internet bill!! Or rent for thata matter).
Okay, so strikethrough07 is rearing it's head again (although in new, bolded format). Siiiigh, I knew I was tempting fate by purchasing a permanent account, but I was sick and tired of renewing every six months or so. So here's the dealio for those that care ---- my daily journal (ie, this one) will most likely remain here. I doubt I'll crosspost anywhere unless there's a huge outcry for it. If you go elsewhere, you can always put this journal in a syndicated feed agregator and at least keep track of unflocked posts (though you may be able to see all the post flocked to you if you stay logged into LJ ---> when I view myself via feed aggregators, I can see everything when I'm logged in).
That said, I'll most likely move all my fic at
frogs_fics to my insane journal (jebbypal there). Mostly because insane journal is much easier to modify layouts to non eye burning ones. I've got a gj account to keep track of you guys that decide to go there for the mucho icons....though for some reason I dislike the interface so I will lobby for insane journal mightily :) LOL. For those that write or make fandom stuff of questionable content, you should probably explore the TOS for both ---- I recall someone (l
liz_marcs I believe) saying that GJs TOS was iffy and that they've had a habit of deleting journals that violate the TOS w/ no notice...but this was during the original strikethrough drama. She kept good tags on the whole thing and has several posts comparing gj, ij, and journalfen, so as you contemplate moves (if you contemplate them), I'd suggest giving her journal a readthrough.
One nice thing about this, it allows me to let the paid time at frogs_fics to expire with no pain. Though I should see if I can move the layout over to insane journal somehow. *cuddles up to

Ummmmmm, yeah, I think that's mostly it. I'm still surrouned by boxes and without a good ergonomic place to use computer, so I'll still be relatively MIA (okay, MIA for me, meaning no 10 posts a day!) for a while.
Oooh, I did get to see Burn Notice with my forced Family package of cable last night. FUUUNNN! I'll be sad not to see it in real time with you guys, but seriously, there's not enough programs on to justify the 40 bucks a month for full cable plus I don't think I'll have the time to do that (and I'm sure you guys would prefer me writing in my free time to watching TV, no?) The lead to Burn Notice really sorta looks like umm, the one guy off the Shield --- or at least, he did when doing his Homer impression. :)
*hugs to all*
