My building is insane
Mar. 4th, 2006 11:39 amSeriously, any other year, I'd say this is most likely simply a refueling day and the boiler hasn't heated up yet. But it's not any other year -- this is the year that we had mostly fifty degree days but the management REFUSED to turn off the heat because it was January.
So now it's march and we're experiencing 30-40 degree days with winds in the 20mph generally. And what's happened? The heat is off. Given that this occured AT THE BEGINNING OF MARCH, I'm led to believe that March is the "turn the heat off regardless time".
Fortunately, I am high up in the building so it's not frigid. Hovering around 70, but plenty of draft from my a/c that I refused to allow them to insulate because to do so would cause me to broil.
Ridiculous. Absolutely frelling ridiculous.
Oh well, off to work after ten hours of sleep. Shouldn't be long and then I'll see afterward if I feel like braving the gym.
ETA -- oh wait, this is the beginning of Penn's faux Spring Break (How can it be spring break when spring hasn't started??) so the gym will be deserted. *dances* Definitely going to the gym!!
