Back...for a bit.
Nov. 20th, 2005 03:38 pmWell, I'm safely back on foot again (at least till tomorrow:P) and all I can say is that gridlock traffic on I-76 is immensley safer than non-gridlocked traffic. But my break reflexes are still good. And omg, I nailed the parallel parking in front of my building on the first try. I think it helps to have a small ass car w/ which to do so, but booy-ah.
( My very boring weekend w/ science and the amish )
anyways, the weekend wasn't a complete bust because when I left for my headache, I did luck out and find My Hero on the cable. Can someone from the Great Britain area tell me if My Hero is available on DVD yet? Ardal O'Hanlon stars (a very big actor over the pond, or so I've been informed by my Irish friends). I've checked in the past and it never has been. And if not, WHY? I love that show. I like it better than Coupling. ETA -- Okay, found that it is, but only in Region 2 format. Siiigh. Guess I'll be spending the holidays looking to buy a cheap multiregion dvd player before sony and co wipe those off the face of the earth.
But I made it safely home and back to my apartment that was 90 degrees when I walked it. And only feel s like it's cooled to 85 in the hour I've been home. And downstairs is a zoo because this is the first day that they are showing the apartments. And the fracking management decided to make it a kegger as well. I kid you not. Completely w/ bad 90s rap music. Needless to say, I'm not excited to go back down although I am in desperate need of more dish detergent. I'm hoping that if I fill the bottle w/ water I can manage to make it through the night!
Well, I think that's it for my exciting weekend (not). And I can't believe that the flist was only skip90 after all of it;P Hopefully my internet will be fully fixed when I come back from thanksgiving -- for some reason my computer can connect to my wireless modem, but not get any actual internet once it does. I'm going to try unplugging everything, but it's just wierd. And this is the first time in FOREVER that it's done this ... though it was like it before I left on Friday but I didn't have time to deal w/ it. Don't figure that the help line will answer today, so I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope that when I get in on saturday I won't be having to connect to someone else's unsecured network (assuming there is a detectable one then). I'd also like to know why my firewall on my pda won't work..though i did get internet access on it finally, as I 'm sure you all saw from my painful post.
Well, I'll talk to you guys later and I'll try to check in while I'm in dial-up land.
