Dear symantec-

I really don't like your new firewall set up. Really. Also, installing things on my IE toolbar without asking me, umm, bad symantec. The virus scan also appears to be even more annoying and isn't running in the background very well. Siigh. ahh well. As long as you keep my baby clean, I'll forgive you.

In other news, I decided to indulge the muse and allow it to write the scene of the Twin Regrets sequel that it's been DYING to get into type. I know, I know. I need to finish the original. You try talking sense to a frog! It's like talking to a slimy stone most of the time. Ahh well, felt good. Definitely going to keep all the tenses the same in the sequel regardless of POV unlike the original. but we'll see what happens.

Ahh cingulair, how I love thee...

NOOOOT!

I've yet to recieve my bill for the month and it appears online that the autopay never got properly picked up still. *bangs head* It's a conspiracy, I know it.

Ahh well, I'll give them till monday to get my bill to me.

And man, but it's insanely windy today. Oh well, cool enough that I guess I get to try out the new gortex boots I bought from ems. Siiigh. How long till spring again??

these albums contain the rootkit

Of course, macs and linux machines aren't affected by this.

And the RIAA jumps on the digital flag idea
Basically, they want to join with the MPAA and tell customers of digital radio services, like Sirius, how long 'saved' sessions can be saved and prevent them from being transferred to computers.

*rolls eyes* Just more proof that corporations are becoming dinosaurs. God forbid that the customer-provider relationship change or evolve with globalization.

Well, it's official. I'm going to be a very bad host and not have my place neat ... and not as clean as it could be. But the good news is that it is far from pit status for once;)

Got home early w/ every intention of doing it, except my wonderful teeth started their wonderful, shooting pain about 20 minutes after I got home. Once I'd taken enough painkiller to affect that, the spot on my head decided to join the party. And now I can stop the deep chested cough. This will really be a fun weekend if I come down with a cold. Though better now than when I see my mom, I guess. Still....uuugh. And I don't even have the option of going to work late tomorrow because I have to talk to my boss at 10..and I can't leave early cause I have to go to a talk at 2. *rolls eyes* My friend will just have to deal.

Uuuugghh, now to attack the dishes so that tomorrow morning I can clean the ones that I've been *cough* storing in the refrigerator. What, don't look at me like that. Better than a pile in the sink that will attract roaches.

*bangs head*

Okay, at least now I know that I'm not alone. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] dknightshade. My stupid computer has been running this frigging new virus scan for over an hour, and it's still not done. And no, I wasn't on computer in that time, so it SHOULD BE. Took me 15 minutes to find where I might be able to register a complaint about it, and wouldn't you know it, but explorer hangs.

And I know this shouldn't be spyware, trojan, or virus issues because my computer was CLEAN the day before I downloaded this new frigging symantec protection center crap. I'm giving it ONE defrag. One, and then I'm doing the 60day return thing and loading freeware programs. This is frakking insane. And no, don't tell me to use Mcafee. I know from personal experience as well as the lab, that they are just as frakking annoying.

Gaaah.
