Wiiierd.

Did a revisal of my award report after my boss left me a note reminding me to target it to my audience. *shrugs* I'm so lazy about writing for work. Sent it to her yesterday and the reply I get "Beautiful writing.". And now I feel all wierd and awkward. I'm like, dude, it's science. It's impossible to write it and have it come out beautiful. Or near impossible. I mean, I'm more likely to believe her since she does actually take the timet o do revisions and such, but still....stuff like that on things for work just strike me as...overkill and untrue. Which is more probably a symptom of my mood lately than anything. Still. *shudders*

And all the career services junk isn't making me feel any better at all.

*glares towards texas* Tell me, why is it that my friends on lj are more considerate than those in RL? I have a friend who lives in Houston w/ her husband and her entire family and I've heard nothing at all from her. I emailed her on the chance that she was still going to work yesterday or something, but nothing back. I'd call her, but I figure using up her cell phone energy/minutes while she's in gridlock for who knows how long would not be a good idea. That and it's Texas...cell phone coverage outside of the major cities (and even within them for Houston) sucks. *thinks good thoughts*

My back is reminding me that it's been waay too long since I last worked out (two weeks? three?), but my body continues to insist on a flat 8 hours of sleep but refuses to get tired till 11:30pm. And I need to call B and see what he's 'planning' for a schedule for tomorrow since I'll have to go into work for at least an hour and a half, but I really need my pants hemmed too. *rolls eyes* silly boy, he's only managed to call me this week when I'm in the middle of something and is very chatty when he does it. yet when I call him back, he's already grabbed friends to go out to eat and he hates talking on a phone in front of other people (yes, I know, amazing, someone with cell phone manners).

Well, based on the data I saw today, I think I officially have a thesis project that's working. *knocks on wood* Still, good to see an entire experiment where everything worked (even if I did almost screw it up at the end).

Of course, on monday, I will also be doing experiment from hell---basically twice the size of the one yesterday that made my back hurt:(:(:( Not to be fun.

And I'm off....computer needs defragging and apartment needs attention.

ETA...err, not sure how much attention the apartment will get. Threshold at 9pm and numbers at 10pm!! Woot!

this one has a function where the pics are sorted by name. Very handy. And it looks like just about every joss verse actor showed up.

Man...I can't wait to leave this place in a year. And I pity the poor fool who buys a condo here --- for one, they are actually going to sell premium "condo studios". WTF? Who in their right mind is going to shell out upward of 100 grand to buy a studio apartment? That's more of a waste of money than just renting. I mean, buying a 1 bedroom apartment, okay, not quite as far fetched, but a studio? Especially these things.

So yeah, the reglazing they did early this year, not so great. I've been lax on cleaning it because I was pretty worried after the first time that I'd rub it off. Well...it didn't rub off quite yet, but it might as well. The entire bottom is filled with little bubble holes that trap dirt amazingly well. So it actually looks worse now after I've cleaned it. Also there are several places on the high sides (that actually don't get wet) that are already peeling almost. Again. I doubt I could get it redone now even if I wanted too. Whoever buys it is going to need to just put in a new tub. but that still doesn't do anything about the fact that all the pipes past the 10th fl are so gunked up that you have super slow drains even w/ lots of draino and stuff.

Then there's the wonderful wall vent full of moving dust:P And I kid you not. I don't think it's actual mold, but it's huge ass colonies of dust bunnies and crap that grow. I had to finally break the vent out of the wall where they'd painted over it so I could put a hepa filter behind it so I'd stop hacking and crap. Then the fun heat system..wonder what they'll do about that?

*shakes heads* Some people who buy real estate are dumb, but you can't tell me that they'll find enough to fill the building.

And I'm really pissed off seeing two more new procedurals that are being advertised that are basically The Inside. Tim should totally sue.

And OMG..I caught the last 3 minutes of Ghost Whisperer and I'm still laughing and gagging in equal parts. First, total rip off of Dead Like Me in the few bits of conversation I caught. Second, *gags on the happily ever after vibes* Why in the hell did the lead from Prison Break ever consent to do that guest roll? Was he literally starving? Cause really, pathetic. Bottom of the barrel pathetic. That said, I'm sure the Touched by an Angel and Dr. Phil folk are eating it up.

*prays that my mother doesn't start talking that show up*
