Ahh...spending a lot of money w/ amazon pays off a bit, I suppose. They finally replied to my email and offered to let me return the item or to refund me 19 dollars. So we'll see how brian likes it.;)

Off to workies we go. A little latish, but not too late. A hell of a lot earlier than I get there normally. :P

Ahh hell, I'm going to take the 19 dollars instead of worrying about returning. can always get the battery cover replace free w/in 90 days if he manages to lose it. And then the price for the player would be 170, which is pretty much unbeatable for 5gig right now. (minus shipping). *nods* yep. he can buy his own power cord and extra battery if he wants one, but I'll see if I can't locate a cover and belt clip for him now.

Woohoo, only 2 and a half hours to go. And in a bit, I'll need to start labeling tubes.

But I've managed to write four more pages for Twin Regrets! One whole scene finished! 48 pages currently -- only two more before it passes camo and becomes the longest thing I've written. *pants*

Who knows, maybe I'll get another chapter done before ch6 gets back from the grammar nazi beta! (which for you guys would be a good thing for me to get ahead a bit. Less lag time! Which I'm responsible for all lag time, betas' are infallible, you know).

So, on the way home, I thought of the perfect way to open ch 9 of TR. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Characterization, bonding, hidden clues, it had everything.

Of course, I go to type a quick summary and what happens: it leaves. By by. Finally got the gist of it down, but right now I couldn't write the scene if I wanted to. Which I guess is to be expected given I've already written for about 3 hours today. But still!!!

Brian doesn't know it yet, but he's digging up the voice recorder that my parents gave him (assuming he didn't give it to his dad). His mp3 player has that ability, so I won't feel bad.

*mourns for lost scene of perfection*

Copy this quiz into a comment (or your journal) and fill it out with your answers, serious or not. Come on. There are a lot of you out there, and I want to meet you! And for those of you I already know, well, I want to know you better!

1. What would you change your name to if it wasn't such a hassle to get all your paperwork redone?
2. What's a fandom you love that doesn't have nearly enough people in it?
3. Share a dorky story about yourself.
4. Where's one place you really want to visit before you die?
5. Where would you live if money wasn't an issue?
6. How did you find this journal?
7. What's your favorite community on LJ?
8. What was your favorite childhood toy?
9. Name three shows you want to have on DVD right now. (Whether or not they're slated for release/have been released.)
10. Say something nice about:
-- Another LJ user (not me!)
-- Yourself
-- A famous figure
11. What's the biggest "OH MY GOD!" moment you've ever had from a movie, show, or book? (Warning: using "I am your father" might date you.)
12. What's something weird you enjoy that gets you odd looks from other people?
13. When did you first get online?
14. Name something you're really good at.
15. Name something you wish you were really good at.

poisontaster said something nice about me, so I figured I'd fill out the meme. That's like a tag, right? )

Okay, I soo totally have a problem. I'm just as incapable of not mainlining a TV show as I am of not attempting to read a good book in one sitting, irregardless of it's length.

*we interupt this post to ask that you excuse any typos. I have a migraine. Deal.*

Just finished the first 8 episodes of Entourage from the 2 discs I recieved from netflix. First off, wow, fast service.

Secondly...thoughts on the show. Except for Piven's character, it really had to grow on me. It's amazing how Jeremy Piven can play a lovable character and an asshole with the exact same energy, but generate a totally different response. I'm not sure if it's just how the characters respond to him that causes it or what. Well, and he smiles a lot less. Which is sad. But still. Seriously, Piven's character in Cupid totally sent me on a "receding hairline" fetish for a few years back in college. I still fangirl him. Amazing actor and the only thing that kept me watching for the first three shows.

After that, the formula started to change subtly. The last episode (or eighth) it changed the most and gives me hope that the next season has a slightly different energy. If I'm wrong, let me know and I'll dump it down on my queu. May split those discs up a little anyways. *makes note to do that tomorrow when my head isn't trying to fall off*

But seriously, I'm so glad that I've yet to try a hazardous substance that could hurt me. Just TV, reading...and now writing. Which are all kinda bad in their own ways---except for the TV one, they totally make me be bad in the whole staying active and eating like an adult things. And behaving like an adult thing. Course, this is probably the wrong place to complain about that. I know I'm talking to a flist full of fandom enablers ;) LOL.

Okay...gonna go find some clean sheats and get ready for bed. We'll see if I decide for the excedrin or not to take before I sleep.

thank god most of my trips I've been surrounded by angel children. Now then, if we could all agree to duct tape the mouths of tweens and hogtie them so their hair doesn't slap me in the face every time they do a head tilt, I'd be first in line to help w/ prep!
